About our Impact Programs

Book Clubs

Our program is facilitated weekly with Preschool and 3rd grade students throughout the entire school year. We provide EASY READER and CHAPTER BOOK versions of The Adventures of Avery and Masa book series, written by local authors. This original book series aligns with common core standards, emphasizes STEAM education, and engages students with a joy for reading. In collaboration with educators, our program has contributed to significant growth in vocabulary, fluency and overall reading proficiency.

Home Libraries

Our program provides free copies of The Adventures of Avery and Masa EARLY READER AND CHAPTER BOOK series for our young learners to take home and build a home library. This program promotes shared reading at home, an individual joy of reading, and the overall importance of at-home literacy.

*Children who own age-appropriate books are 15X more likely to read above their expected age-level. So far with your help, our program has provided 18,283 books!

Collective Community Action

We collaborate with our community partners to provide literacy-based programming designed to bridge the summer gap, inspire young mentors, and celebrate literacy.
